Workshop Registration Fee: $100.00 per person; a total of $400.00 for all workshops.
Bundled/early registration discount rate: $250.00 for three workshops and $300.00 for four workshops if enrolled before the early registration deadline of June 5, 2015.
Early Registration Deadline: Friday, June 5, 2015.

Cancellation/refund policy: NO Refunds for cancellations occurring 2 days before the training.

Workshop Description
This interactive, hands-on workshop’s focus is grant writing basics with practical application. Participants will receive instruction and, as a group, work together to apply the knowledge provided in the workshop by completing a generic foundation grant application.

Who Should Attend?

Individuals that are new to grantwriting and/or individuals with grantwriting experience who are seeking to expand their capacity to successfully secure funding through grantwriting.

Participants will:

• Learn the basic components of a common grant application
• Learn “Tips of the Trade”- things you should know to succeed in grant writing
• Learn strategies for completing a foundation grant proposal
• Complete a foundation grant proposal
• Receive a Grantwriting Toolkit.

ABOUT THE TRAINER:

Barbara W. Fane, MA, is a native of Atlanta where, she grew up and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Spelman College. She is an organizational development consultant with more than 20 years of experience providing training, technical assistance and other consulting services to hundreds of organizations serving diverse communities.

Barbara recently served as Executive Director of a regional organization that provided a variety of capacity-building services to communities of color, immigrant, refugee communities and native communities in the northwest region. As the lead consultant for this organization, she developed a new capacity-building model for community organizations that is now being marketed in other parts of the country.

She has also developed and facilitated customized training programs for consultants, organizational leaders and community change agents. Over the past 20 years, Barbara has written a variety of government, foundation and corporate grants for
Millions of dollars.

In addition to a B.A. degree Barbara has a M.A. from National University and A.A. and A.S. degrees from Fresno City College.
